I am unable to use the scan button on the Envy 7855 to scan to my PC. I can scan using the HP Scan shortcut on my computer but when I try to scan from the device a window pops up on my computer that says HP_U_SCANBUTTON and tells me to select the program to use but no programs are listed. It seems that there is a driver or program that is missing. Because of the configuration of my office, I really need to be able to scan from the printer itself to my PC. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, run the print & scan utility and nothing works.

Scanning Multiple Pages into a Single PDF-- HOW?
MacBookAir and HP 8610: Trying to get multiple sheets that I scan to be saved and subsequently appear in one PDF document. I have seen the command "Save to one document" or words to that effect,but can't make it appear when I need it. And I remember once using the command Save to Folder It is maddening how impossible it is to get thi information. I hve tried so many times. I'm sure a lot o people need it.

Re-installed already 5x the latest driver from HP site, no solution. While printing is working fine!

Poor Scan Quality
I have recently set up a HP OfficeJet Pro 7740, primarily to use as an A3 scanner, but the scan quality is very poor.
I am scanning illustrations at 600dpi and in a side by side comparison with my old Canon A4 scanner the HP scanner is currently giving extremely poor results. The HP scan results look like they have been processed through a heavy contrast and sharpening filter and the result is very poor quality and for my purposes, currently unusable (see side by side detail attached).
I have tried using the HP Easy Scan App and the generic Printer and Scanner App on Mac OSX 10.14.6 and they are both giving the same poor results with this scanner.
Is it possible to recalibrate the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 scanner or is there something else that I can try to improve the image quality?

Put legal paper in tray to be scanned and it scanned letter size
I was copying a legal sized paper but when it printed on the legal it looked the size of letter size.

Lines on document fed & scanned docs
I have faint horizontal lines that show on prints after using the document feeder. I get the same thing if I scan using the document feeder. I do not get this if using the glass or printing an original.
I've carefully and meticulously cleaned the glass and rollers (as recommended) and I still get the same issue. I don't see anything on the bottom side of the glass (that I'm able to see with my eye) however I do not know how to access the bottom of the glass.
Any help would be great to get rid of this line in my prints! 🙂

Scan to Email will not work
Hi all - I need help. I am getting closer to solving this issue. MY scan to emails all stopped working about 2 weeks ago (I have at least 5 HP printers between work and home). They are not connected. I figured out FINALLY that my email password is not the password needed anymore on my Printer IP page but rather the email company - aol (I know I know) generates one for this type of usage now I guess. I hear **bleep** does it too. Anyway -that issue SOLVED. All printer will now scan except this one. I don't know what to do. When I printere the SMTP Comm Report it shows an error message "(#Auth05) Too many bad auth attempts - is there a way to clear this out? The printer won't even try to scan even though the IP page is saying it is testing successfully. It is clearly something that needs cleared on the printer - HELP!

Officejet Pro6978 scan to email has disappeared from printer
About 2 weeks ago I noticed my "scan to email" function is missing from my HP Officejet Pro 6978. I used to be able to touch scan, scan to email and choose what email address I was sending it to. I have tried to delete the drivers and the printer and to reinstall it.... I do not know if I am doing it correctly or not but nothing is working.
The first picture is what the main screen looks like.
I clicked scan from main screen then I got the screen below
then I chose computer and the next screen is what comes up. And if you choose scan for email it doesn't do anything. Then I get the following error: Connection unsuccessful. The scan could not be completed. Make sure the computer is connected to the printer and then try again. I think I was looking trough the printer before this happened and clicked on something that said update, after I did that the screens are not he same as they were previously and that's when I lost the scan to email feature.
Any help to get this resolved would be so appreciated we use this scan to email feature alot .

Warranty expired and printer is not working

Fax will not load
Reloaded HP Smart. Phone and printer are both logged onto same network.
Press Mobile Fax...just keeps trying to load for minutes on end. Nothing but a blank screen.

Scan to email configuration states incorrect id and password but my credentials are correct
Scan to email used to work. Changed my id and password for yahoo email account. Tried to update my scan to email configuration and the setup pages continue to render an error indicating that the id and/or password are incorrect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software and still am encountering the error. Thoughts?

HO Envy 6200 will not scan using the HP smart app on iPad
If I try to scan from HP envy 6200 to iPad IOS using HP smart app I get the message that this feature is unavailable on this printer use a different printer. Surely I should be able to scan on a modern printer? My friend has HP envy 7200 and it’s able to scan perfectly. I need to scan documents that are several pages into a pdf file and it’s urgent. Any suggestions?

Printing issues
Whether I'm using it as a copy machine or going through the HP smart app when I tried to print black and white it comes out green. I just replaced the cartridge and it still does the same thing. The printer has been updated and if you was doing it before the update. I thought maybe the contacts on the ink cartridges were dirty so I cleaned them and still have the same problem. HP support says there's no drivers available for it. I'm hoping one of y'all have had this problem and found a solution thank you.
