scan to my computer error pop up
this is a silly error message that pops up for no good reason. after I researched this here and it told me to rename the file that caused the error message, the error ,message came back up with the file name I renamed the file to! but I found the hpscanapplication in the startup area of my windows 10 so i disabled it there. and the hp scan still works fine

I have purchased HP Laserjet 3530 mfp when I have connected to system it has auto installed the printer but I have to scan docs and get on my PC and PC is installed with windows 7 so in this respect help me as I can scan and get..
I have made a folder in system and same has been shared on nfletwork.

I can print but not scan

Changed our router and my PC's wireless service has ceased (trying to fix elsewhere)
In the meantime my printer which used to be on the wireless network has been hard wired to the computer
I can print to it no problem but cannot use the scan function from HP Smart
Ive updated drivers.
Used to workj beofre the wifi issue

I really need some help. I have upgraded my Mac to 10.13.6 (High Sierra) And now I cannot scan any more.
Printer is HP ENVY Photo 7130. It tells me to go to HP to download app for my computer. This is done, I now have HP easy scan in the system.
When I open the app on my computer it just closes down.
When I try to scan from the printer it tells me to go to HP to download the app.
Is this system not compatible with the printers scan? It prints fine...

unable to scan even after installing software from 123.hp.com as advised on printer screen
I have a HP ENVY 5020 printer. I tried to scan and the screen on the printer advised to get a software update from 123.hp.com. This I did, tried again to scan and got the same message on the printer screen. I tried turning off the printer and restart it, but the same message reappears. Can you tell me why this is?

Scan from OfficeJet 4500 to Chromebook NOT WIRELESS
Hello. I have an OfficeJet 4500 that does not have wireless printing. I recently upgraded by laptop to an Acer Chromebook. Printer is connected via USB cable. I can print from the Chromebook to the printer just fine. However, I need to scan some documents from the 4500 to the Chromebook. I've searched and tried various apps (for hours), but I cannot seem to find anything that allows me to do this. Is there really no way to scan from my 4500 to the laptop?? Can someone please provide me with some direction? Thank you!

Renaming scanner drivers
I have (3) different, (but the same models) HP Printers set up on my computer, for our satellite offices. Each printer has been set up separately, but correctly. I know have 3 different scanner drivers to pick from. I need to be able to name each of them, (ie MN office, WI office, IL office) so that I know which one to use. How can I rename them?

My HP OfficeJet Pro is only one year old and I can no longer send faxes from the printer.
My HP all-in-one is just 13 months old. I can no longer fax from this device. It upsets me that I am probably going to have to buy a new machine. I have had my phone company out and a new modem installed, which did not help. I can't get any answers on HP online support. The light in the scanner no longer comes on. I called a service person who told me it would be cheaper to buy a new machine than pay to try and have this one repaired. This is ridiculous that it only has lasted one year. Does anybody out there have any answers?

Scan 2 sided documents with Officejet 5258
Hi!
I have an Officejet 5258, and I would like to scan double-sided documents through the ADF, but the software (downloaded straight from the HP website - HP Smart version 3.6) does not give me the option (in so far as I can see) to do this. Is there a way to do this that I am not seeing. Even if I could scan all the pages in and then rearrange the page order before saving the file, that would be great, but I haven't had any success with that either. Thanks in advance!

How do I scan a multipage document into one folder? Right now, each page ends up as a single document. On my touch screen the only option is to print to a computer, email, or flash-drive. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

HP Envy 4501 Printer
My printer will not scan the alignment page after I replaced the ink cartridge. I attempted to shut it off with the power button, it has been 15 minutes and the message still reads Shutting down.....
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Scanning without a working ink cartridge?
So, someone else asked this question and I cannot believe the answer that was given. I have an HP L7680 printer. The cartridges have expired. I want to do scanning and the display is saying that there is a problem with the ink cartridges. Well, yes, of course there is. The cartridges have a date of 2010 on them.
The answer that was given to the other person is that without a valid ink cartridge installed in the printer the device cannot do anything at all....no scanning, no faxing, no nothing...nada.
Is this correct? will this printer *NOT* do *ANYTHING* if there is no valid ink cartridge installed?
I just checked and each ink cartridge runs $105 per HP cartridge! You expect me to pay a toll of $220 every few years just so I can scan some documents?
I have many many other printers from Brother, Lexmark, Epson just to name a few. Some are 15 years old, some are just a year or so old and *NONE* of them require me to pay a toll just to scan a document.
So please tell me that what I read from another posting is not true...It can't be true, can it? Why would a company punish a customer like that...I mean, you're not Sony right?

Re: HP easy Scan no longer working Mac OS Mojave 10.14.4
There's an actual issue with the HP software with regards to IPv6.
Our printers don't have IPv6 enabled on them, and this issue still happens.
For some reason on Mac OS Mojave, If IPv6 is absolutely disabled (set to Off), then Easy Scan will fail to see the printer. Enabling IPv6 (even setting it to Link-Local-Only) will then allow Easy scan (and Image Capture) to see the printer again. This makes no sense at all.
Could you please tell us what protocol / network method easy scan uses to communicate with your printers? At least then we might be able to diagnose this.
